A premium rate service allows you to charge for incoming SMS messages sent to a 5 digit short code eg. 34010. For the different premium rate bands as well as revenue available, see the table (all prices are VAT inclusive, and includes 1 free return message). The amount shows what you as a client will receive, after all transaction costs have been deducted. The transaction cost charged by Bulksms.com varies between 6 and 13%, and has already been subtracted.
The cost of a dedicated shortcode is R1500 ex VAT to set up and then R500 ex VAT per month. Shared shortcodes are also available using keywords. Keywords cost R500/year/keyword ex VAT.
